Just to let you guys know I have fixed the cpu usage overloads by updating the fx and modulation, pulled out the patchcords from my mo phatt, x lead, protean drums and proteus as well as sampled them in and finished the banks. I am still key mapping and setting up presets but i have almost 4gbs in my library now and i still have and all its discs and to pull in. Along with other various fixes I have also fixed the twistaloop feature so it now works correctly and the filter section for the banks I have so far. Other new features are tons of fx presets, modulation presets, preset knobs and even key tuning.

But after finding what an incredible thing the Proteus VX was I tried some of the others. One you didn't mention was Tascam's CVP (Continous Velocity Piano): It's a free download but I can't get it to install. I don't see that you need anything previous (any Tascam, GVI, GIGA, etc.) thing installed. In my case, I am finding it a very convenient alternative to Emulator X2 for playing back samples in Sonar (because it is faster to load and seems less resource hungry than Emulator X2). So i did what i usually do and made it reason friendly. I ripped out all the one shot drums, and converted all the patches to soundfont. Since Emu released it free anyway i don't see why i can't share these so here they are. Reason and mac users now get to join in on the fun. My guess is that the coders neglected to consider the 'SP2 or higher' case, so the installer fails because you are now on SP3. This category of coding screw-up used to be very common, but, fortunately, it is not widespread any more. As I think that Tascam has given up supporting this (and other Giga) products, I think your only chance is to roll back to SP2. But is that really worth it? Only you can decide.
