Grandia Sega Saturn English Patch
You have to double space it out or it collects into one paragraph. Reddit's formatting is kind of lame like that. Panzer Dragoon Saga Shining Force III Sc. 1 Shining Force III Sc. 2 (translation patch) Shining Force III Sc. 3 (translation patch) Shining the Holy Ark Shining Wisdom Dragon Force Dragon Force II (translation patch) Blazing Heroes (aka Mystaria) Wachenroeder (guide online) Princess Crown (guide online, translation patch in development) Langrisser III (incomplete) Langrisser V (guide online) Albert Odyssey Grandia (incomplete translation guide online) Story of Thor 2 / Legend of Oasis Magic Knight Rayearth Dark Savior Sakura Taisen (guide online) Sakura Taisen II (guide online) Off the top of my head, that looks like most of the RPG, Action/RPG, or SRPGs. If you want to stretch the definition more, games like Guardian Heroes and D&D Collection have RPG elements.
Nothing to say about really. And the music? Both have great music but again to me grandia takes it.

Meanwhile, the Garlyle forces, the main militia of the game's primary villains, are hunting for information regarding power sealed inside of the ancient ruins of past civilizations.
It's not all about the translation though the Sega Saturn version of the game was also much better graphically. I would LOVE to see this happen, but I think the biggest problem will be getting people to do so much work for a translation that already exists on another platform. I would have thought it would have made it easier for them to translate as Shining force 3 has been translated now they just fixing it up for translation errors.
In the west, Grandia was looked at as a cult classic but did not become the phenomenal hit that many english publications were expecting. Many gamers in the west view Saturn's definitive JRPG as either,,. Neither of these became a major success in western territories, and are sought after because of their limited production. Saturn was being discontinued in the US when Grandia debuted in Japan, where it continued to be produced until 2001. During the 1997-1998 period, Saturn's main competitor for an RPG blockbuster was PlayStation's Final Fantasy VII by SquareSoft (now Square-Enix).
Video: About the game: Grandia (Japanese: グランディア Gurandia?) is a role-playing video game, developed by Game Arts and published by ESP Software for the Sega Saturn console as the first game in their Grandia series. Look, you think Grandia is better than Final Fantasy VII. Thats wonderful, good on you,but pretty much everything you just said was subjective and highly debatable. Take the Graphics issue for example. Grandia had a rotating view that added some depth to the environments, but it came at the loss of unique detail. So many walls, rooms, houses, etc just looked bland and pixely to me. Super smash bros brawl mario.
I've always felt really spurned by the fact that Grandia never got translated (Grandia was actually the first game I ever imported back in 1998 -- I read an article saying that it should be played regardless of the language gap, but I just couldn't play an RPG like that without knowing the nuances of the story), so it would be kinda huge for me if the mistakes of yesteryear were corrected in a way. I probably read the same Article or similar in Sega Saturn Magazine UK. Yeah the end of life in Saturn in the west was a big let down for me especially since most of the most anticipated games towards the end just ended up left as Japan only releases. I really wanted to play Dead or alive, Virtua Fighter 3, Shining force scene 2 and 3, Radiant Silvergun, Shen Mue, Dragon force 2. The Sega Saturn was awesome I suppose that these games were released too late.
Tell me in what way ff7 is better then In my personal subjective opinion, Final Fantasy VII had. - better characters - better story - better graphics - better battle system - better music honestly, I don't think there are any key aspects I liked better in Grandia than Final Fantasy VII personally, but thats not to say I think Grandia is in any way a bad game or whatnot. I really liked Grandia, it just wouldn't make my Top10 favorite PSone rpgs. All those 5 points are better imo in grandia. The storyline in grandia is really great, as it is in ff7, but it's killed by the blend and uncaring characters, which is often the case in final fantasy. Only spehiroth is really great. The graphics?
