This behaviour seems to mostly affect regions that don’t start on a whole beat position. The basic point of all these tests is that the mixer sounds identical in Logic 8 when compared to previous versions, and that the differences people are noticing are due to changes in the Channel EQ and other widely used plug–ins, along with the fact that the default pan law for a new project is different. I don’t mind the EQ being made to sound better, which it absolutely does, but the ability to enable a compatibility mode, so that mixes created in the previous version of Logic could sound the same, would have been useful.
