Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Kissanime
Finally I managed to finish [WT!] thread for my favorite anime. It was really hard to do for several reasons: • It was needed to avoid my inner fanboyism and to present actual information that is valuable for those who's not familiar with the anime; • Selecting right information, because I can talk about this anime for hours; • Taking pictures/gifs and formatting with checking (though I still made few mistakes.); • Character limit really pressed me up and I didn't want to use comment section as means of post continuation. But I'm glad I finally did that and sticked to my initial promise. It really means a lot to me, because Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is the only anime that I consider myself to be true fan of. If at least someone picks this anime up after reading my rant, it would make me.
See for an example and an attempt to turn the tables. •: • 'How normal' or variations thereof, to Nami. • Nozomu's 'You were here?'
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (SZS) is an anime made by Shaft and is an adaptation of the manga written by Kouji Kumeta of the same name. It belongs to a comedy genre, and doesn't follow any major plot line, which makes the whole series fairly episodic and random. Sounds pretty uninspired, eh? We find out it's actually a sword and it wants to cut whoever the wielder is in love with. •: In-universe lampshading.

Most often applies to Nozomu.

Which the viewer is also shown, and which generally does succeed in distracting the viewer from the actual plot until the next obvious reminder. Other non-sexy distractions include showing the credits onscreen at moderately high speed without stopping the action or dialogue in any way.
Anime incorporates various society features, such as corruption, cowardness, hypocrisy, extreme conservatism, illegal immigration, paranoia, hype, herd instinct. Listing every theme that Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei touches would take a lot of time, because it touches basically everything what is wrong with a society.
Most of the OST is performed by Hasegawa Tomoki on the piano, and the majority of the songs are somewhat dramatic, melancholic, romantic, what fits with the dark comedy of the series pretty well. When I finished the last episode I was so gloomy about it that I thought about doing bungee jumping from a two floors house with the rope around my neck cutting my wrists while falling after drinking caustic soda but then I discovered that there was a second season and a third coming up this July there’s still hope;). Overall 9 Story 8 Animation 8 Sound 8 Character 10 Enjoyment 9 Despair! STORY - Story? This is a slice-of-life series and it is based entirely around hilarious character shenanigans, though if you ever see characters like this in your life, I'd be a little worried. Still, there are a few reoccurring themes revolving around anime and otaku snark and satire of Japanese lifestyle, culture, politics, media, literature, etc. They also frequently make fun of themselves, which is incredibly amusing.
Needless to say, he's no longer interested in breasts. •: • Mayo Mitama. And she because no one would want to judge her based on appearance. • Chiri becomes more and more of this as the series goes on, starting to carry around a shovel and making frequent references to killing people. At one point she ends up in the Sengoku period and tries to declare herself the ruler of Japan — by killing everyone else. •: An entire episode is devoted to this trope, going so far as to have characters distracted by minor things while an alien invasion occurs, right down to Itoshiki looking up at a attacking the city.and ultimately wondering why it has 'FART' written on its chest in big glowing kanji. •: When Kafuka and Chiri go to visit Nozomu's family home, they discover that all the other students ended up at the same place for completely separate individual reasons (Maria climbing onto a fruit truck, Meru boarding a train trying to get a cell phone signal, Abiru chasing an animal tail sticking out of a van).
( Uttaeruyo!) Nami: Don't say 'normal'! ( Futsuu te iu na!) Nami: Sensei, you're speaking too much again! (whenever his portend disastrous consequences, such as Chiri going again) • The Itoshiki Family members' cry against writing out the of their names. • A usual exchange between Nozomu and Matoi. Nozomu: • Chiri's demands to do things properly, and that not doing so irritates her to no end. • Another case is Nozomu inviting his students to go out to town and witness examples of subjects of his rant of the chapter.
However, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is not that type of comedy. Of course, it could be enjoyed without much thinking, because anime is very funny itself. But if you want to understand the anime fully, its goals and its actual brilliance, you need to pay closest attention to everything that happens during each episode - quite unusual for a comedy, right? Take characters, for example.
Class 2-He exists in a kind of equilibrium where the tension never boils over, at least until somebody/something kicks over the anthill, such as Nozomu's in Season 1 and his flirtatious body-double Haga in Zan. • A major case of occurs with Kiri, who lives with Nozomu in school and serves as caretaker for both him and his nephew Majiru. At one point she seems fine with sharing him with. • At least when Nozomu is around, when he isn't looking, apperently both of them have fought sometimes offscreen • Another case (this time in Bangaichi) occurs with Tane, Chiri's flirtatiously sexy (yet messy) sister, though it's likely that his affection for her stems out of pity for her situation (having to sacrifice her hygiene in order to curb Chiri's murderous obsession with cleaning their pet goldfish with shampoo). • On one occasion Kafuka became jealous of Chie when Nozomu was smitten by the sight of her in a. Kafuka: To smooth over the prickliness we need more and more points! Otherwise the class will become bloodthirsty!
You were warned. Read at you own risk. Spring is the season when everything returns to life - trees finally awake and start to blossom, birds are about to sing another song and charm random passers, filling their hearts with hope for a new and better life., your ordinary high-school girl, believes just in that - everything starts and borns with spring. Bursting with hope, she stumbles across on the way to her school. Frightened, she manages to save him from death, but the hanged man is. Oh hey it's here, the WT I've been waiting for. Is proving to be apt. I probably don't even need to say how much I love this show (though quite a lot) so I won't. I'll just say it's good.
•: About or more, the character will focus on a (generally female) character about to speak, and they will be framed in soft light and sometimes. •: In one chapter a bunch of reject normal women for having 'subtle facial hair' (also a case of ). •: • Ironically, given the suspicions that he's an abuser, Mr.
This series is really something because it is a smart comedy that allows laughing. Zetsubou has a lot of serious subjects but you never see these treated like a soap opera. The problem is developed with a dark comedy that allows much more reflection about it. Each character is a takeoff of modern Japan’s problematic citizens: a hikikomori, a perfectionist, a gaijin that suffers prejudice, an addict of cell phones, a stalker, a fan of yaoi and cat ears, an illegal immigrant, a girl that enjoys putting a stick in a dog’s ass (not sure if the last one is a general problem). The development of these characters may become compromised after the first half, conceding space to nonsense episodes, but this is natural coming from a comedy. Usually when we see an anime we already know what to expect from the funny parts, they’re virtually the same every time. Again, that’s not the case here.
It is not OK to try to sell your own stuff here. • Do not post Hentai here. Lightly NSFW things are okay. Read the rules for examples.
There’s a lot of fanservice as well, but, one more time, the anime does that in a unique way. It’s almost like it is dissing the fanservice itself. There are references to other anime like Lucky Star and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (and Zetsubou is incredibly similar to Watanuki from XXX Holic). Furthermore, the otaku world is shown in the traditional Comiket Market. The first opening song, Hitotoshite Jiku ga Bureteiru, is performed by Kenji Ohtsuki, who some may remember from the ending of Welcome to NHK. Now, instead of the galactic crazy baby, there is a song that keeps repeating bure, bure, bure (warped, warped, warped) whatever.
