PC - I purchased the Genesis DLC, but the Bioware Social Network doesn't seem to think I did. I could be wrong but as far as I know the Genesis DLC's sole purpose is to provide ME1 choices to ME2 players that never bothered to play ME1.
Then game successfully started, I was able to 'play' until Shepard's floating in space. Then Genesis splash screen appeared for few seconds. Right after Genesis splash screen vanished game turns in black screen with some ambient sound in backroung. Since this point I am unable to do anything with game, even return to main menu via ESC button does not work. The only way how 'kill' game is to use windows task manager. I was curious what should be wrong so I tried to search a bit over the internet and I found it may be problem with registering game content on Bioware social network. So I opend the Bioware social network and found out that Genesis is not listed in my registered game content (which is really strange) because game itself shows that Genesis is available when I run game via Origin or when I log in to EA account directly in game menu.
Thanks a ton for this! I played the original Mass Effect on Xbox 360, and I play Mass Effect 2 on my PC so I don't have access to my save files from the original Mass Effect. This allows me to play through Mass Effect 2 with choices from the original Mass Effect without having to play through the game on my PC, which I *really* don't want to do because I thought the original Mass Effect was more annoying than fun. Plus I've already play through it (or at least most of it), at least 2-3 times already. BTW guys, if you don't like the comic don't fret. The point of this is to allow you to play Mass Effect 2 while carrying over decisions and choices from Mass Effect 1 for those of you who don't have a save file on your computer, like myself.

You don't complain about coffee price (actually, $4 for coffee is not cheap at all comparing to gas price). It's very expensive. Then people complain it? So don't tell me genesis DLC is expensive. If you think it is expensive, get a life. This is just another annoying example of awful nickel and diming. No, it's a case of them responding to their customers.
I buy everything about mass effect game. Don't call me 'fuck'. It's not wasting my money at all for fans. Plus, $3.99 whatever is not a deal to me. Just drink coffee at morning.
Playing ME 1 to have some consequence for ME 2 is too long. Plus, I don't have time to play all. ME 2 is enough already. So comic makes sense to me. I bought it the day it was released on my PC.
This was created for the PS3 release and enough people wanted it on the 360 that they put it out there. Only an extremely short sighted person would call this nickel and diming especially given that they haven't tried to restrict the use of alternatives. Believe it or not, some people want to see some presentation of the story rather than playing through an older game like that, or clicking a series of options in a third party program.
I would really apreciate if anyone can help me to get it working (even without genesis) because now I can't start new game at all. And at least one more information, I bought Genesis DLC also with Genesis 2 which is properly listed in my registered game content on Bioware social network.
Hello, I am currently facing to very specific problem. I bought Genesis DLC via Origin and I am not able to start new game since I installed DLC. I have downloaded Genesis via Origin and properly installed it. Upon clicking on game icon it was not able to run at all (I had to repair game via Origin right click menu) 3.
Originally posted by:Same here. What dafak, I bought mass effect and then the comic doesn't show up in game. I then open Origin and add my codes I got from steam, but then it says my Cerberus code is already used. ♥♥♥♥ you EA cancer You mean you registered your game on Origin and then tried to register your Cerberus key? Recommend contacting EA support. As I said above, the Genesis comic is not included with the game (except on PS3, I believe). If you didn't register your game on Origin, then is where you'll get your DLC, not Origin.
